Sarawak Malaysia Cycling Route Maps
Below are maps of routes that we cycled in Sarawak. These were routes we cycled in Kuching, Siburan, and also at the border towns of Kampung Bunang Gega, Kampung Mongkos, & Kampong Mentu Pondok. These were during two cycling trips there; one during the Gawai Festival in 2015 and the other during a Brompton Event in 2023 (... to view those rides click here to see Cycling Sarawak).

Brompton Sarawak Kuching Night Ride Cycling Route Map (22km)
The route goes around down-town Kuching and head for it's fringes, passing through two beautiful pedestrian bridges and the iconic state assembly hall. It is a fairly flat route with only some gentle climbs.

Brompton Sarawak Singai Rural Ride Cycling Route Map (26km)
The ride route goes around the rustic foothill of Mount Singai at Bau. It goes along undulating terrain with some sections of steep dragon-back climbs. It is a fairly shady route, although there were un-shaded sections along the main roads.

Ride Route: Kuching Waterfront>Tua Pek Kong Temple>Kuching Civic Centre>Cat Museum (North Kuching City Hall Building)>Sarawak State Library>Old Sarawak State Legislative Assembly>Fort Margherita>New Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Building>Darul Hana Bridge>Kuching Waterfront>Sam's Ice Cream (Sarawak Plaza). .
The ride route goes around Kuching City and its outskirts, with visits to several of the city's places of interests and crossing the Sarawak River twice (first at Datuk Patinggi Haji Abdul Rahman Bridge & second at Darul Hana Bridge). The route is fairly flat (except for the climb up to the Kuching North City Hall Building) with mixed shaded and unshaded sections.

Kg. Bunan Gega To Kg Mongkos Sarawak Cycling Route Map (8.23km)
A walk to Kampung Bunan Gega to join in their Gawai procession. After the procession we cycled to Kampung Mongkos where we stayed for the night and join in the night Gawai festivities at a longhouse.

Kg. Mongkos To Kampung Mentu Pondok Sarawak Cycling Route Map (16.36km)
Today, after participating in a thanksgiving festival at our longhouse in Kampung Mongkos, we cycled to Kampung Mentu Pondok for a good Bidayuh Gawai lunch. With happy stomachs we cycled back to St. Jude Bunan where a bus took us back to Kuching.

Kuching Airport To Kuching City Sarawak Cycling Route Map (19.66km)
Ride Route - Kuching Airport>Kampung Siol Kandis.
(Note: this ride map is only from the airport to our homestay. Did not track our ride in Kuching City, apologies.

Ride Route: Downtown Kuching>Malaysia-China Friendship Park>Siburan.
In the morning, we met up with local cyclists from the Slow Loris & Brompton Sarawak groups. Our hosts took us around Kuching down-town to view some of the local sites ending at the Malaysia-China Friendship Park. In the late afternoon we cycled to Siburan for a nice Gawai dinner reception held by a friend.
