It's a slower month of eats, but with good food arising from many Chinese New Year gatherings, from reunion dinners, to Chap Goh Meh. Memorable eats for this month included:

Crepe cakes from Nadeje, Prawn Pancake with Chives at Yi Ding U Cuisines, very good Chicken Rice by Chef Neeks, etc.

January 2026

Dry-aged fried chicken by Chef Neeks

Cooling off month. After last month's wonderful trip to Laos (Vientiane, Vang Vieng & Luang Prabang), and onwards to South-western China (Xishuangbana, Jingmai Mountains, Pu'er & Kunming), this first month of the new year was a slower eats month.

Still, we had some memorable eats such as: A Michelin Guide clamps noodles, good dry-aged fried chicken & Iberico ribs by Chef Neeks, good take-away Siamese Laksa, traditional style Soong Yee fish, and close the month with a superb Chinese fine-dining at Elite Youmiqi. We also tried the new Ramen David and give thumbs up!
