Penang Malaysia Cycling Route Maps
Penang, although one of the smaller states in Malaysia has many interesting cycling routes. One can cycle along the beaches or up to the hills. OR cycle round the whole island without really getting lost, after all it's an island! And most of all Penang is about food too, being named as one of the best places to eat in many publications.
Below are maps of several routes that my cycling buddies & me had cycled in the state, i.e. both on the mainland and on Penang Island.
Click on the relevant screen zoom rectangle (at the top right hand corner of each map) to go to the respective route map:

    1. For beginners, Penang's East Coast Cycling lanes will be good. They are mostly flat and goes through interesting sights.
One can start from Karpal Singh Drive or from Queen's Bay Mall (where there's an open car-park on the opposite side).
Here's a blog of the East Coast Cycling Lanes with the route map:

Once one is more familiar with cycling in public roads, George Town's Heritage core is fun too.
