REFLECTIONS
These are the reflections how biking have affected me,  both generally & personally.
Since taking up biking, some of my ideas have changed, some metamorphosized,
I guess as time goes on, I will have to take pause and reflect again.
A tragic incident at CFAL4, gave thought to the fragility of being mortal.
My newbie thoughts on how to improve cycling safety.

A personal accident along the KESAS Highway leads to more reflections on safety

Planning and organizing our first ride. Pleased to mention that it was a success.

  1. Hi Jo. I tried to look for the Shah Alam cycling track this morning. Parked at the Taman Tasik car park which was water-logged and mossy. Cycled along the path along the road which was a disaster with broken tiles, open manholes etc. Where is a good place to park and start riding the cycle track, Jo? Boleh tolong ah?

    1. Hi, Patrick.
Most dis-heartened to hear about your bad experience at the cycling lane, especially about the conditions of the lanes. It's surprising that the car-park is water-logged eventhough presently it's a very hot and dry season, it's just down to poor maintenance.

Alternatively, you could park near the Blue Mosque or at the Shah Alam Courts (there are some car parks there), and cycle along the lanes nearby. (Here's a Google Street View of the place - https://www.google.com.my/maps/@3.0808863,101.5213283,3a,75y,258.55h,84.38t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1smX8SWL6lv6kd2FkQ9CjxiA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656)
The cycling lanes in Shah Alam covers much more than those near the lakeside, below is a link to the map of some of the lanes (I have not rode on all of the lanes):

Also this link here by another cyclist on his experience at the lanes there could shed some light:

      Hope this helps.

      Jo
